Our Story

Cibo Labs is leading the commercial adoption of pasture monitoring services across Australia’s livestock industry. We deliver services across more than 50 million hectares on a weekly basis, and work across supply chains with producers, processors, and industry organisations. We are also expanding our services to international markets.

We are a small and nimble team in a fast-growing boot-strapped business in the scale-up phase. We are looking for highly driven, motivated, and skilled people with “roll-up-the-sleeves” mentality to help drive the business forward.

You will be working as part of a virtual team with skills in remote sensing and geospatial technologies, data science, agriculture, and environmental management. You will also be working with farmers, other like-minded Agtech companies, industry and government organisations to deliver real impact for farmers, industry, and the Australian community.

Customer Support Role

What’s the deal?

  • Full-time
    • Preferably full-time however part-time arrangements may be considered for the right candidate(s) (see point below)
    • We are open to taking on a university student in the final year of their degree, with the opportunity to step into a full-time role once graduated.
  • Location: This is a virtual team (based in QLD, NSW and ACT), so you will be working remotely most of the time, with regular online contact with an engaged team who gets together when we need to. A minimum of 2 weeks initial face to face training with the team is a requirement.
  • Salary: Commensurate with skills and experience.
  • Start date: We would love if you could join the team ASAP!

Responsibilities

The Customer Support person will be part of a dynamic team that are passionate about improving the profitability and sustainability of our grazing industry through the adoption of world-leading technologies. This role will involve the daily activities associated with onboarding, training, supporting Cibo Labs clients and working with other AgTech companies. These activities will include (but not limited to):

  • Answering phone calls and email enquiries, and triaging these as necessary
  • This will require use of our Hubspot CRM management system;
  • Onboarding and providing technical support to users of Cibo Labs services (via email, phone and/or Microsoft teams calls, and on farm visits);
  • Using ArcGIS and QGIS for property mapping (prior experience beneficial, but training will be provided);
  • Developing user guides, training and communications material;
  • Assisting with administration and project management;
  • Representing the team at events, meetings and other forums.

 

Desired knowledge, skills and experience

  • Currently studying, or have a degree in Agriculture, or other relevant discipline.
  • A rural background and/or industry experience is desired, but not essential.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the livestock grazing industry, and experience in the application of AgTech in the industry.
  • Demonstrated passion and motivation for helping graziers adopt improved practices and technologies.
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • High-level organisational skills, including the ability to organize and prioritise work activities in a demanding, busy environment, including demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and be highly self-motivated.
  • Current Driver Licence and the ability and willingness to travel.
